Testimonials

We believe One World School is a wonderful partner in that process and we are very pleased with our decision to enroll all of them.

We have one child with some additional challenges and two developmentally typical children. On our visits to One World School prior to signing up, we were so moved by the culture of kindness, respect and honor. We wanted all of our children to be part of that, not just the one who needs some extra assistance. Our hope is that our children will grow up loving learning, and caring for others. We believe One World School is a wonderful partner in that process and we are very pleased with our decision to enroll all of them

This school has become his “happy place!”

Before One World School, my son worked with several therapists and centers on a one on one basis or with another child. The time came when I felt he needed a school that could help bring out the best in him as well as socialize with other children under the guidance of well trained educators. So I did some research, visited a few recommended places, and met with other parents as well as doctors. After months of searching, I found One World School in April 2014.  I met with Ericson, and I was convinced that this was the perfect place. Call it mother’s instinct, but I knew that my son would be “safe” here. As a parent of a child who has difficulty communicating, I worry a lot. This school has become his “happy place!” The compassion of the teachers, as well as their patience and ability to make learning fun is a gift we are grateful for.

One World School has boosted my children's confidence and honed their potentialities as well.

This school provides more than enough experience for my children. The atmosphere inside caters to the needs of my growing children, Tres and Twodis, in terms of social learning and academics. One World School has boosted my children's confidence and honed their potentialities as well. Having them in one school is like having them at home. It feels worry-free and furthermore, it strengthens their relationship as siblings. Whenever I look at them at school, it’s just like watching them in an open window of our home, because for us One World School is not just a school. It's a home. Just like our home.

And we will be forever thankful for welcoming us in your school Mr. Perez.

Thank you One World School for helping us help our kids with their individuality.

Growing up, Ly’Elle started noticing how different her brother is. We recognize how challenging it is for her, as it is for us as parents. Explaining autism to a 4 year-old is not simple. She may be too young to grasp it all, but it is never too early for her to understand and accept that Kuya has special needs, and Kuya needs extra help, affection and love.

Thank you One World School for helping us help our kids with their individuality. We are assured that Ly’Elle will grow up equipped with a “big heart” to be a strong advocate for acceptance and awareness. As an Autism Family, this is one of the best and right decisions we have made. It is not planned. God led us to this path and we are very happy that we have accepted the “risk”.

we attribute this mainly to the school's holistic program, which ensures his entire team works together to achieve the same goals, and that the family is coordinated in this effort.

Alonso (age 9) has been at One World School from the beginning. He is growing as the school does, and will be in the 4th Grade in SY 2017-2018. He has progressed by leaps and bounds across the board - behaviorally, socially, academically, and in terms of communication - and we attribute this mainly to the school's holistic program, which ensures his entire team works together to achieve the same goals, and that the family is coordinated in this effort.

It truly takes a village to raise a child, and the "tribe" that comprises the school's staff is its primary strength. Alonso will continue to attend One World School right up until the highest level, and perhaps beyond this to the Internship program.

We have no hesitation to recommend One World School for parents who are in the same situation as us.

Our elder daughter, Momo, has cerebral palsy from the time when she was delivered. One World School has provided Momo a deeply personal formation program. We recognized her progress and development every single day. We feel so great as we were able to find One World School and meet its staff. We have no hesitation to recommend One World School for parents who are in the same situation as us.

In the coming years, we hope the community around us becomes more aware and understanding of what these children can offer, and in turn provides more opportunities for them to be a part of their regular activities.

One World has found our son’s potential!

It has been a year since we enrolled our son, Keano. He is on the spectrum; Exhibiting delays in his speech and showing some stimulating behavior that is not typical. It was difficult to find him a good school, given his situation.

However, the One World School has opened its doors for us. Being part of this community, Keano has progressed a lot, bothin academics and social awareness. A few months ago, we were surprised to hear that Keano had won an award for Best in Artwork, and another for Best in Coloring in his school events. We did not expect for this at all. In the past, Keano was not interested in holding oily crayons, or using paint or glue. Now, he managed to showcase his capabilities in the most astounding yet unexpected way. His “achievements” gave him a different perspective in learning. He began to developconfidence as he got more and more excited in his classroom activities.

From then on, Keano became more verbal with us. Now, he is more expressive with his thoughts and interests. He also became more comfortable in playing with his classmates. Big or small, we are proud of what he has been achieving.

The One World community has a fun and effective way in finding the greatness in Keano’s shortcomings. The teachers are quite persistent in helping him thrive by focusing on his strengths. We are very grateful for all the teachers and staff as they continue to build on Keano’s character and develop his skillset.

Keano has become a more confident and a happier child because One World School sees his potential.

...nothing is impossible because the team believes in our kids.

Moby's program in San Francisco was so fragmented such that he had to be shuttled between places to receive all his services. One day, my husband told me how lonely he looked as he sat alone in the administrative office while waiting to get picked up. Meanwhile, all his classmates were playing in the playground.

We looked for programs in Baltimore, Massachusetts, and NY, but when we met Ericson and saw his program at One World, we knew that we found the right fit for Moby.

Moby was initially shy and did not seem interested to engage with any of his peers when he first arrived at OW. However, after two months, we noticed that he was happier and looked forward to going to school. OW made him feel secure, and having role models in his class helped him figure out how to navigate in the classroom. “Team Moby” collaborated with our providers in the US. Moby is a visual and kinesthetic learner so Ms. Sheryl provided visual supports so she could gain instructional control. She individualized Moby’s program so that he can better access the curriculum.

Today Moby refuses to go back to San Francisco. He can identify the different angles, tell time, and count in Filipino - skills that I never thought he could master in less than a year. At One World, nothing is impossible because the team believes in our kids.

One World is making a difference in the lives of many.

To the One World team: My whole family is very grateful to all of you for accommodating Rafa and making him so at home. My deepest appreciation to the teaching staff for their patience, perseverance and love for my son. Rafa loves attending school and that smile and smirk that I see in him everyday is just priceless. He is coming out of his shell! I never dreamed he would improve so much. I won’t forget that day when he celebrated his 9th birthday in school, and he got to blow the candle in his cake for the first time! Thank you so much Ericson for taking interest in the lives of so many special children. One World is making a difference in the lives of many.
